H.J. Hansen Vin energizes the unique wine experience

Denmark’s leading supplier of quality wine, H.J. Hansen Vin, has selected Hesehus to be responsible for its new ambitious overall solution which will bring the unique H.J. Hansen wine experience online.

Denmark's leading supplier of wine

H.J. Hansen Vin was founded back in 1829 and is today – with a selection of more than 3,000 different products – Denmark's leading supplier of quality wine.

H.J. Hansen Vin supplies for the hotel and restaurant industry but is also selling directly to private from the shops in Odense and Copenhagen and not least via Vinspecialisten (the wine specialist) which is a national network of more than 50 independent retailers of special wine.

Vinspecialisten, which is rich in traditions, has high e-commerce ambitions and the request for the new webshop is to become a significant player online.

H.J. Hansen Vin selects Hesehus as e-commerce partner

CEO at H.J. Hansen Vin, Dorthe Priess

”We have a very ambitious business strategy with a clear omnichannel focus where lifting the wine experiences online and in an e-commerce context plays a very central role. In recent years, we have seen a heavy increase in the general sale of wine online and combined with the customers’ increasing expectations for functions and features online and not least the requirement to meet the H.J. Hansen Vin brand in the same way in all channels means that we go all in and invest in a completely new, future-proof solution for the benefit of our professional customers as well as the private wine lover”

In Hesehus we are very excited about the cooperation with H.J. Hansen Vin and we have already started the development of the new overall solution which of course builds on Hesehus's own developed e-commerce platform Bizzkit.

With the Bizzkit platform, H.J. Hansen Vin obtains a total solution which first of all contains DAM, PIM and CMS but which can also be customised for H.J. Hansen Vin’s specific requests and needs since the standard foundation for the solution is flexible and provides a vast number of opportunities.

With this new overall solution, H.J. Hansen Vin is heading in the same direction as successful e-commerce companies such as Matas, Zizzi and BabySam which have all based their webshops on Hesehus’s e-commerce platform and have obtained top positions in the competition for the E-Commerce Award.

CEO at Hesehus, Lars Hedal

”We are very pleased to be able to welcome H.J. Hansen Vin and we are already working on the development of a state-of-the-art webshop for them. H.J. Hansen Vin has a very ambitious online strategy and when one of the objectives is to be among the best candidates for the E-Commerce Prize, it does not get much better for us as an e-commerce supplier since it allows us to put all of our competences and knowledge into play. The team has been set up and we are ready to help H.J. Hansen Vin to satisfy their e-commerce ambitious”

Today, consumers are more environmentally conscious than ever before. They would like you e-commerce companies to lead the way and make it easy for them to make the eco-friendly choices before, during and after the purchase. But how do you create the sustainable shopping experience, which the consumers are look for, and position yourselves ahead of the competitors as the eco-friendly choice on the market?
Live shopping is one of the e-commerce trends which are now accelerating during the corona crisis where access to the physical shops is limited. Live shopping makes it possible for e-commerce companies to guide their customers online in ways which were previously reserved for the physical shops and can therefor not only strengthen online sales during the crisis but also the relation to the customers in the future.
