Anniversary: 10 years of ground-breaking online solutions for Fristads Kansas Group
After 10 years of close cooperation and one of the Nordic Region’s most innovative and comprehensive e-commerce solutions with 400 webshops on one platform as a result, Europe's leading supplier of workwear, Fristads Kansas Group, and Hesehus now celebrate their 10th anniversary, and the good cooperation continues.
10 years of ambitious cooperation
Ten years ago, Fristads Kansas Group joined Hesehus with the desire to develop a new, innovative e-commerce solution. With an annual turnover of approximately DKK 3 billion and a product portfolio consisting of some of Europe's leading brands, e.g. Norwegian Wenaas, Swedish Fristads and Danish Kansas, Fristads Kansas Group is among the top players in the workwear market.
For Fristads Kansas Group, the vision was not to be mistaken either: they wanted to make it as easy as possible for their customers, primarily consisting of large international companies, to access and order the specific products that have been manufactured specifically for them. This resulted in the launch of an ambitious e-commerce platform that currently includes more than 400 customer-specific webshops, has more than 400,000 unique users and has so far sold more than 15 million products.
400 webshops on one platform
In January 2012, just a year after kick-off, Fristads Kansas Group's solution went live, and it quickly turned out to be crucial to several large companies’ choice of Fristads Kansas Group as a supplier. With the e-commerce solution, Fristads Kansas Group's customers each have their own customised webshop, which in addition to a customer-specific selection of products includes features such as pre-ordering, flexible employee and budget management and the ability to enter body measurements for all employees. Features that all help make it more practical and more manageable for Fristads Kansas Group’s customers to order the right work clothes in the right sizes, and thus also create great value internally in Fristads Kansas Group by optimising their supply chain.
Furthermore, Fristads Kansas Group's e-commerce solution has been launched in a Business to Partner (B2P) edition targeted to the group's retailers, just as it has also been continuously expanded to continue meeting customer expectations and market developments in general, where B2C sales play an increasing role.
Fristads Outdoor – blurring the line between work and leisure
Most recently, the collaboration between Fristads Kansas Group and Hesehus has resulted in a new, stylish brand site for Fristads, which will contribute to launching the new Fristads Outdoor collection which has been designed and created for outdoor life. To tap directly into the outdoor universe and put the collection in the right 'nature-loving' context, focus during the development of Fristads Outdoor has been especially on the design, where the use of various visual features and functions – such as mouse-over effects, micro animations, atmospheric videos and stylish product images orchestrated with small texts to highlight the qualities of the products – contributes to making the brand site a unique experience for the customers.
Fristads Outdoor went live in 2020, and just like the Kansas brand site, which was launched the year before, it is built on the existing common platform for the entire Fristads Kansas Group.
