Case: Tridan

Two webshops – one database

New B2C webshop for Tridan, Denmark's leading supplier of spare parts for white goods

Tridan is Denmark’s leading supplier of spare parts for white goods, with more than 4000 different products in stock. With over 30 years of experience in the industry and a reputation of being highly service-minded, Tridan contacted the e-commerce solution provider Hesehus with an ambition of making their B2B webshop more efficient and develop a whole new B2C webshop by the name Quickparts.dk.

User-friendly webshops for both B2B and B2C

For many years, Tridan has focused on the B2B-segment, and it was a webshop for this segment that Hesehus developed for Tridan in 2005. This webshop is particularly smart because Tridan can give different discounts based on either the number of items bought or the amount of money spent, which the webshop then handles automatically. This eliminates the time Tridan’s employees previously spent on going through orders manually to give discounts. Another feature that makes the webshop very user-friendly is that the customer can define what appliance and what spare part for this appliance he or she needs, and then the webshop automatically finds the right spare part. In this way the customer does not need to look through each type of spare parts in order to find out which one fits the customer’s appliance exactly. This is obviously a feature that saves the customer a lot of time.

A few years back, Tridan decided to enter the B2C market. Therefore, based on the B2B platform, an e-commerce solution for the B2C market was developed. The design of the B2C webshop, Quickparts.dk, is a bit different and more colourful than the design of the B2B webshop. In spite of these differences in the design, the two solutions are connected to the same PIM, also developed by Hesehus. This means that product data only has to be updated and maintained in one place. This makes it easy for Tridan to administrate the different products, and on the same time packing and delivering of the products are very efficient, as the two webshops use the same system.

Quickparts.dk has been well-received by the customers
