Two customers in the top five for the E-Commerce Award

The jury behind the prestigious E-Commerce Award 2017 has selected the top five for all of the 12 categories. For the eight year in succession, Hesehus has customers among the nominated, namely Inspiration and Dacapo Stainless.

Inspiration excels again

Inspiration, which won the E-Commerce Award for best re-design in 2015, is once again in the top five where the national life style chain is nominated in the category 'Best digital campaign’. In the category ‘Best digital campaign’, the prize goes to the company that has developed a digital media campaign which has activated its target group and obtained new leads, increased sales or positive media coverage. In the assessment of the five finalists, the jury is emphasising the creative universe, execution of the campaign and the ROI of the campaign.

Inspiration has been nominated for its digital catalogue of offers which based on a very innovative and inspiring design developed by Nørgård Mikkelsen has been developed and implemented by Inspiration’s permanent online partner Hesehus that is also responsible for the chain’s e-commerce solution.

The catalogue is exclusively prepared in Bizzkit's flexible and responsive CMS with several unique placeholders developed for the catalogue. Hesehus has made much of optimising performance and think mobile first and has included several animations and measurements in the design which have required an extraordinary performance in relation to the front-end work. Inspiration’s digital catalogue was received very positively by the customers and has achieved convincing results.

Dacapo Stainless

The wholesale company Dacapo Stainless, which is one of the big players in the European stainless steel market, has been nominated in the category ‘Best B2B company with an online turnover of up to DKK 100 million’. The winner of the category is the company that brilliantly sells products and/or services through digital channels to other companies. In the category, the jury is emphasising great business talent and the company’s ability to innovation and growth.

Dacapo Stainless has, among other things, been nominated for its impressive online growth which has gathered speed since the launch of the webshop in 2014 and now represents 30% of all orders. To continue the conversion increase in the webshop and support Dacapo Stainless’s vision to be ‘easy to do business with’, Dacapo Stainless contacted Hesehus in June 2016.

Significant UX optimisation

The UX Design team of the e-commerce house was to optimise the webshop as regards significant UX and design improvements. Based on a thorough UX review of Dacapo Stainless’s webshop at the time, the Hesehus UX Design team prepared a UX report and a design proposal which Dacapo Stainless implemented.

The new design is based on the material design trend with focus on only including the most significant elements and use organic forms and lightness in order to increase the user-friendliness considerably. The design also includes a better utilisation of the width of the site, optimisation of the basket function and a clean-up and change of the menu structure, including adjustment and addition of filters which makes it faster and easier for the customers to find the requested product. At the same time, the webshop was user optimised to follow B2C conventions instead of B2B.

Inspiration has been nominated in the top 5 together with REMA 1000, VisitDenmark, B&O Play and Ejner Hessel and Dacapo Stainless will be competing in its category for the prestigious E-Commerce Prize against HAY, Pleo, Ageras and AccuRanker. Hesehus will of course be in the audience ready to cheer for Inspiration and Dacapo Stainless on 18 May in Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center when FDIF hosts the event of the year.
